Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies entered the TOP-5 pork producers
The National Union of Pig Breeders has summed up the results of the industry for 2020. The total production of pork in Russia last year exceeded 4.8 million tons including more than 3.4 million tons or 71.2% produced by the twenty leaders in the industry.
In the TOP-20 rating of the largest Russian pork producers Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies took the fifth place with a 5.3% share in the total industrial production in Russia. According to the results of the work of meat processing enterprises of Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies the production of pork for slaughter in live weight amounted to 257.5 thousand tons in 2020. In comparison with the same rating for 2019, the group of companies improved its position, moving up two lines at once and entering the top five.
Pig breeding is a priority area of Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies. Six pig breeding facilities in the Tver Region and sixteen pig farms in the Kursk Region sell more than 270 thousand tons of live weight per year. The one-time keeping of animals at all pig breeding facilities is almost 1.2 million heads annually. The livestock facilities have the status of selection and genetic centers for breeding Landrace, Yorkshire, Duroc and Large White breeds.
Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies includes two high-tech enterprises which are Kursk Meat Processing Plant LLC and Dmitrogorsk Meat Processing Plant LLC, located in the Kursk and Tver regions, respectively. In total, the enterprises of the group of companies produce about 290 thousand tons of pork meat, 25 thousand tons of semi-finished meat products, 26 thousand tons of sausage products, 8.1 thousand tons of meat and bone meal, 6.4 thousand tons of technical fat, as well as 1.3 thousand tons of blood meal per year.
High-quality meat and sausage products of Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies are produced under the Blizhnie Gorki and Dmitrogorskiy Produkt trademarks. Products are presented in branded retail stores and Federal retail chains.
